John
Bauer, the founder of Bauer Flooring opened his first sport flooring
company in 1941 in Michigan and has continued to grow his company over
the years into one of the most successful sport floor businesses in the
country. In the mid-80’s John Bauer and his step-son James Kirk Van Hook
moved the business from Michigan to Texas in pursuit of a better
business environment. In 1994, John Bauer passed his company onto his
step-son Kirk and changed its name to Bauer Sport Floors, Inc. Kirk has
continued the legacy of providing exceptional service and superior
quality sport floors.
Bauer
Sport Floors, Inc. has been one of the top installers of Action Floors
MFMA certified maple since 1994 with over 5 million square feet of maple
installed in gymnasiums throughout the state of Texas. In 2009 Bauer
Sport Floors extended its state-wide operations into Louisiana. Bauer
has also extended its products and services beyond just wood gymnasium
flooring to include synthetic polyurethane, vinyl athletic, and rubber
flooring. In addition, Bauer offers custom painted graphics, game line
striping, volleyball equipment, wall pads, rubber ADA ramps, and so much
more. We
service all of Texas and Louisiana and do most of our work in schools,
colleges, universities, churches, recreation and athletic facilities,
and in private residences. When
